Thermostat


so what are symptoms of a dieing thermo... cuz i think mine is but not sure... cuz every time it closes the temp gets way higher before the next time it opens...

funny thing is i noticed this on my way to the parts store to get a new one... a 160... anyways do you guys think that this problem might e the thermostat or maybe im just going crazy / my new fan is going out? idk im a lil nuts and shit and don't want my car to break again

one of two things will happen; 1) the thermostat gets stuck closed, causing your engine to overheat. 2) stuck open, the same as not having a thermostat, takes forever to get to temp if at all.
put your thermostat in a pot of water and put that shit on hi to see if it opens, or just spend $20 and get a new one, either way you gotta take the current thermostat out.

yea... i went to get a lower temp thermo ... when i noticed that the heat was changing in a way it hadn't before... it was staying warmer longer... and i didn't like it... but yea i was on my way to buy a 160... so yea
