getting my exhaust done soon

stock piping is 2.25 but if i tell the shop to use 2.50 will it cost more? also the correct mufflers are offset offset 2.50 inlet 3.0 or 3.5 outlet correct? i want 3 inch tips

It shouldn't cost a whole lot more.
mufflers depend on what piping size you're doing.
if you're doing 2.5 then get 2.5, if 2.25 get 2.25". Tips have nothing to do with the actual piping or muffler inlet/outlet size.
But you want offset in/offset out.

i know the mufflers correlate with the piping i was asking more about the outlet, so the outlet doesnt matter for the tips?

no, the mufflers are in front of your rear axle. Tailpipe size is what matters for the tip inlet.
s197 the tips go right onto the mufflers though i think.

holy crap our cars come whit 2.25 stock piping? thats not bad at all. so is it ok if i go 3inch piping after the mid pipe? lol or would 2.5 sound better. (i like deep sound)

sometimes I wonder how it'd sound like with a prochamber though... I couldn't find a vid on youtube... I had an oppurtunity to get a used one for $125 but I didn't buy it since I wasn't sure if it was gonna be ok with a V6...

yeah it would've been nice...i think the prochamber would be sex on a v6, but for now enjoy the h pipe

Yep I had one, I have another one sitting here but I don't think i'll be using it... I may sell it

How did it sound? Why did you change it? Got a vid?

I had a chance to get a used one back then ($125) when I was gonna get my duals done... I wasn't sure if it was gonna sound good on my car... I couldn't find a vid on youtube so I just stuck with the GT H-pipe... I love the sound of it right now but I've always wondered how it would've been with the prochamber.

Everybody else told me it sounded badass, I had a guy in a cobra walk up to me and tell me he was trying to figure out if he was going to have to school a "kid" in a GT or a Mach 1 but he couldn't tell by my exhaust. When I told him it was a v6 we had to go through the "open the hood no way" thing. I don't think it ever sounded that good ??

Anyway I got rid of it because it doesn't work too well with a 3" single :p
