From what I understand and have read, o/r H-pipe sounds the best as long as you have longtube headers. X-pipe supposedly gets too raspy at higher rpms and I honestly don't know about straight divorced.
Personally with my set up, it has a great idle but isn't very loud. It sounds great when I accelerate and rev the engine up high but when I get to WOT and really hit it it becomes painfully obvious I'm running a six. Regardless though, you can't expect a v8 sound with a v6. You can however expect an amazing sounding v6 that will make a lot of people jealous. You also won't need MIL if you get a tune but the MIL will probably be cheaper. Just be careful when you get it tuned also and NOT try to fix any upstream o2 sensor issue, that's something you'll want genuinely fixed if you run into a problem with them getting stuck on lean. |
