brake dust

hey what should i use to remove a thick coating of brake dust on my wheels... brake cleaner doesnt work.

i have 94 cobra wheels black and chrome

2000 grit sand paper, re clear them OR get a green scrubbin pad and use that with degreaser. Maybe have to get creative and just try whatever, but the green scruber works good

try Purple Power degreaser. it can clean anything.

Definately soak it in some degreasers for a little while, let it get soft ...

Then get your ass to scrubing ...

ive tried some pretty powerful stuff and it just doesn't seem to want to break through the caked up dust. scrubbing is insanely hard.

I guess i might have to get some purple power the way you guys talk about it up there. I know something will do the job i just havent found it yet.

the wash boys used it on everything at the stealership i used to work at. works great on engine bays as long as remember to cover the electronics from the water

^ like stated before purple power, and i believe they ceramic brake pads now that dont create brake dust could be wrong but just an idea for the future haha
