Loud idle

Iv heard a lot of mustangs with really mean sounding idle what do I need to do to my 99 v6 to make it sound like that

I have the lumpy cam and dumped 40s before axle... Sounds mean for a v6 at least.

yep a v6 w/ a cam will sound great at idle...but come wot

OP got lucky im being nice and didn't just pop in to say +2 cylinders

uhm, buy an old corvette, park it on one side of your Mustang, and leave it running, walk around to the other side where you just see the Mustang.

I just got duals, it's idle is what I was after though, it's not 'loud' like an 8 cylinder. Maybe some supporting mods can make it louder like cams and longtubes.

Dumps will echo more and be louder, thats personall option though.

If you cant figure out what all that means, then you havent done enough research.

Also, you'll never have a V8 Sound ... sorry but wont happen out of a 6 ...

Also remember $$$$$$

Anything else you need to know, search it.

youtube has a few video's of what I speak. Mine is almost there (was ... for those who follow my thread ... you know why it "was" ) but you may check out my video in my signature ...

Also remember, plugging your computer into a stereo and not shitty speakers makes things sound 10x more realistic ...

average i believe around $600 then usually another $500+ for install

well seeing how most straight shot racing mufflers sound really raspy on a v6 the answer is no

where would that be? near the muffler
