Loud Rattling Noise at Low Idle

Hey guys. So a while ago I hit a curb going very slow, but it was kinda loud cause maybe the curb was high? IDK but anyway, afterwords when my car was at a very low idle, my car would kinda shake a little bit and make a loud rattling noise. I waited till day time and looked and it was a rusted exhaust clamp that was shaking against the exhaust, so i took it off and replaced it, however, the problem is happening again. When the car idles really low (below 1k rpms) the car shakes a little bit and makes a loud rattling noise from under the car. Sometimes it won't do it, but most the time it does. And some things can trigger the noise to happen, such as pushing the window switch or letting on and off the brake. IDK if anybodys noticed but if you hit the window switch at a complete stop it adjusts the RMPs VERY slightly, but just enough to make my car vibrate a little bit and make the noise if it's not already making it.

I almost want to say that after hitting the bump, it seems as if my car idles lower than it did before? or maybe I just didnt notice it because it wasn't making the noise.

Somebody please help, I drive a very nice Mustang and I feel stupid when I'm stopped at a red light or something and my cars making a loud weird noise.

And BTW, the noise sounds like metal against metal, like I described before, sounds just like it did when the exhaust clamp was loose and clanking against the exhaust.

Thanks,
Jake.

Tail pipe hitting something? Could be a bunch of different things. Just check for any slack in the hangers on your entire exhaust again.

Start your car up and try to pinpoint where the noise is coming from. Until then, I'm going to agree with Demon that it's probably something rattling on your exhaust.

Do a little reading on how an engine works and you'll understand why a car vibrates at least a little. But I noticed you mentioned your car idles really low. If your RPMs drop low the car will vibrate more until it's literally "shuddering." How low exactly does your idle drop to? The stock tune is set to idle at 750 RPM.

i guess id say 750rpms sounds about right, its below 1k, but not too much lower. just seems like it vibrates a little more than it used to but hey, thats probably just cause i can hear it too haha.
