new sct tuner........works great
hey i just got mine today and it works great race my brother he was in my 91 thunderbird sc stock and it did great vs it, i do have some questions if anyone can help me please #1 87 fuel tune is to save gas right not sure#2 how many cars can i use this on it says something about having 5 unlocks left#3 can i check check engine lights only on other cars or only on my car. thanks guys

1. It's not necessarily to save on fuel. Your car comes from the factory tuned to run on 87 octane. This means your timing is set to run on fuel that is rated as low as 87 octane. I currently have my car on an 87 octane tune, running 89 octane, and getting worse MPG than my 93 tune running 93 octane. Basically, with an 87 octane tune you can safely run 87-93 octane fuel (which is what most gas stations carry).
2. It will only work with 1 vehicle. Those "unlocks" are for SCT. If you ever sell your car and forget to give the tuner to the new owner then you can send it to SCT and for $150 they will unlock it so you can use it on your next car (if it's compatible with the model of tuner you have). 3. You can check CELs on other vehicles. My buddy is always bringing his F150 by for me to check his CELs.

I'd have to guess auto since he said it worked great. Manuals don't really get that "great" feeling that autos do from a tuner.

Just to clarify, you can only check/clear codes on Ford vehicles.

i do thats all i use everyday, now what else can the tuner do. is the 91 tune the best i can do to it for now or can i make it do different stuff spark, more fuel, air anything

Don't fuck with the spark or A/F ratios. The spark is adjusted already when you upload your 91 tune. If you increase the spark much more you'll end up with detonation which is no fun and very bad on your engine. If you retard the timing then you might as well have just left a lower octane tune on. And A/F is still over my head, but from my understanding without a wideband you can't really monitor it.

engine is stock all i have is 4.10s and now my tune and ill stay away from spark and all that other stuff thanks guys
