windstar intake


hey does anyone know if a windstar intake kit from a 2000 mustang will work on a 2001 mustang?

2004 3.9l, O/R H with pacesetter L/Ts and flowmaster 40s,s/d coil pack, spec stage 2 clutch, 93 octane tune, msd wires, chin spoiler, black out vinyl, 8.8, 3:73s and tlok, windstar with custom fenderwell cai, dropped 1.25 in back and 1.5 in front

It will fit but you will need a different throttle body.

are you positive? im getting the kit for 250 is it worth it if i need to buy a diffrent t/b

dont know for sure, but isnt the intake pipe different from those years?
i believe the 2000 has a sensor extra, that the 2001 dont have? correct me if im wrong

Get the kit. Talk to vap and I'm sure you can organize some kind of trade to get on for car. Just tell him you will give him the one from the kit and your for one that will fit yours.

^ +1. Steven is a pretty cool guy about doing stuff like that, I asked him about getting the rest of the kit minus the Intake and he gave me a price.
The intake pipe should be fine, just plug the extra hole if there is one.

Right. 99-00's had a separate IAT sensor but in 01-04 models the IAT was built into the MAF. Simple fix, plug the IAT hole in the intake tube
