Parking brake stuck on?

So today when i was driving, i noticed my parking brake on. It seems like when i give it gas the brake light comes on. It doesnt come on until i hit 1300-1500 rpms. Then if it drops down below those rpms, it shuts off. I can also shut it off by hitting the brake fairly hard. Its weird. Oh, also my handbrake doesnt work. I know nothing about the braking system. Has anyone heard of this before? Or better yet anyone know how to fix it?

it sounds like the screw thats goes on to the ebrake indicator switch is loose. all you need to do to check it is to take off the center console and thier is a little gadget with a small spring in the back part of the ebrake. make sure that little thing is tight onto the ebrake

yes check the brake fluid first. to remove the center console you need to remove the black thingy that goes around the shifter, all you do is pull it off its attacked with clips. then you will see 2 screws on the center console near the radio on both sides, remove them. then open the box in center console and remove the black rubbers lol on the top of box and take off the inside black box. then you will see some scres at the bottom of the were the black box was at, remove them and pull the ebrake as hard as you can all the way up then take off center console

Low on brake fluid. When you accelerate, it pushes the fluid to the back of the master cylinder reservoir. That in turn, turn on the brake light. I wouldn't just top it off though. First check for a leak. Second, see if you need new brakes.
