OBDII Cord

So if I was to acquire an OBDII cord for a computer would that tune my car? Like what program would I need for my laptop?

SCT makes tuning software and so does sniper, but you would need to know how to do it

eff that, can it be pirated? any names of them? Since it's on my laptop I'm sure there's a way to pirate it. Wouldn't it give me the same effect as a tuner would?

If you don't know how to tune, and you don't have wideband o2 sensors to monitor your a/f ratio, and you don't know how to safely adjust your timing or shift points your going to hurt your car bad.

if you have the correct pass through interface yes. its called a Ford J1850 PWM (3-byte) pass through pcm interface anything less wont communicate with the rom in a manner quick enough to flash it.

yeah if you have a tuning program and know how to tune, again it isn't click a button and it figures it out for you, you have to know what you want and their are a lot of variables, tuning is hard thats why it is expensive. Get a turner it will be cheaper than taking a tuning class and buying a tuning program for a couple grand.
