Ford Thunderbird Mustang 3.8L Eaton Supercharger
Hey I found this supercharger for a thunderbird online pretty cheap and I was wondering if it would fit a 1999 v6 3.8L mustang? What would I have to modify on the car if it can?

you would have to go down from a split port to a single port
not sure what else. Probably not worth it though, idk. |

Someone with more knowledge might be able to chime in and tell you if its worth it or not. I don't really know a whole lot about it.

Skip it and move on. $300 isn't really a dirt cheap price. I believe that supercharger was used in the early/mid 90's so the supercharger itself is nearly 20 years old and $300 is a fairly average price for it. To put it on your car you need to swap back to single port heads which means you'll lose around 45hp. And you're probably not getting much more than just the supercharger itself which means there are a lot of other parts you'll need to buy. In the end it's going to cost you a whole lot for some small gains and the supercharger whine. In my opinion, get a nice lumpy cam. You'll probably make numbers around the same, if not higher than if you'd done all the work to get the M90 working plus you'll still have a split port engine so you can do a Windstar swap. Basically, your car is 1 year too new to bother with the M90.

1.) if you can get the COMPLETE setup cheap enough then DO IT!!!!
2.) If you have a boat with IRS (thunderbird) of course its not going to be much faster than a slightly modded mustang its a boat!!!!!!!! Its heavy, that same motor , in a 100% stock mustang has done 14.1s on stock tires, 2.73s, and 20 year old setup! Upgraded intercooler, air intkae, tb, gears, and you have a mid / low 13s car! 3.) For a DD its going to be more fun than a vortech or procharger because of the low end torque it produces. I would do this and DD it all day. 94-04 v6 m90 setup cam long tubes build a 3.5-4" intake for the s/c 70mm tb 3.73s whatever has to be done to make 12lbs of boost front mount I/C With a 555r that setup should run 12s in a mustang.
