lowering....


what is everyones thoughts on lowering my base model 96 stang? i wanna lower it but what is the best way of going about doing so? coil overs?

get a full kit that way your steering isnt all cock eyed and sloppy after but yes coil kit with struts.

nah right now i only have the 15" 3 point powdercoated stock rims i believe they are? but i wanna get a 5 point star rim, something like a Cobra R rim but those are 17"s and ill have to get new tires also. so im not sure if i should stay with the ones i have now or get the 17"s.......input please? and also how much do you think the coil over kit will go for? and what else do i need to complete the lowering?

and also a few people say i shouldnt lower it. its a stang which is a muscle car and isnt meant to be lowered like a sports car.

u need a steering rack kit as well so ur rack dont get all cock eyed

is it necessary to buy struts for it? or will the coil over kit work with whats on it now?

the strust will give you a better over all feel and comforst when turning and such because the factory ones are not designed to hang like that all the time.

In my opiniod, they're wrong. Mustangs, especially v6's, sit up too high and they look much better when they are lowered a little bit, but not slammed.

personally id only drop the front a half inch to an inch give it an aggressive stance.

yeah the ass end on mine sits up higher than the front. i think i looks stupid and should sit at least a lil bit lower but thats just me
