Bubbling Clearcoat

Has anyone had any problems with the paint on the hood. My clearcoat is bubbling or kind of swirling towards the front of it. I searched and could not find any recalls for the paint on the 2004 models. Just wondered if anyone else has had problems with this. I will try to get pics and post them up after i get home from work today.

Does your car sit in a garage or outside? The sun and weather are hell on paint.

If you want a paint with problems, Ford apparently had a problem with Crystal White for a while. I've got a bunch of spots on my car that are peeling.

its always in a parking garage at work and in my garage at home. I just dont want it to start causing more problems and if anyone knew of any recalls I would get it done.

I dont know how the previous owner kept the car but i've only had the car for 7 months and i started noticing it about a month ago. Maybe its always been there but i never noticed anything with it until now.

I have a friend who details cars, im gonna try to have him fix what he can on it.

I had basically the exact same thing happen on my paint but mine was all down the left side and my clearcoat eventually started to peal off. Mostly the difference was that the previous owner had gotten into an accident on the driver side. I was told that it was mostly likely caused because when the paint was not preped right. Sadly there are no recals in your case that i see and your only option is going to be a new paint job. Sorry for the bad news but at least now you can really make it shine more

Sorry to give you the bad news . I really suggest you look around quite a bit for a good place to get it painted. It worth it to pay another grand if your not going to have to get it painted again in a year. Ask questions like paint type, number of coats of clearcoat, etc. The more clearcoat the better the shine so if you want see if they will put extra on for you.
