Ford Explorer 8.8 31 spline

Are these rear ends fairly easily interchangeable with the Mustangs or at least not that much work? I can get one for $200, but I'd want to check the condition of everything first at least. i just can't find any reasonably prices Mustang 8.8s at all because everybody thinks they're worth ridiculous amounts around here for stock ones with 100k...Thanks. And any other easily modifiable rear recommendations are welcome. I was getting a detroit locker, but the guy never responded so that's out.

Yeah I just need to find a Mustang one for around $200 then. That's if I'm lucky. And I have a buyer for mine for $375, so that'd get me started on building it.

i have gears out of a ranger in my car,

its my understanding you car take side gears that are 31 sline, put them in you stang rear carrier and then run 31 spline axles?

correct me if im wrong

I agree on everyone wanting a ton for 8.8's in this area...
although I did see an 8.8 on CL with 3.73's...lemme see if I can find it.
