Question about the K&N CAI from MM

I bought my car originally with the K&N CAI already installed.. unfortunately, the brace that is supposed to keep the filter in place and shield from heat was not installed.

The result? The tube has fallen off of the intake a few times. Also, the filter banged against the A/c lines to the point of rupturing them and leaving me with the need to re-do my a/c system.

I bought a generic CAI from MM, but it requires reusing the grommets that the original intake used to attach it to the chassis.. something which my car does not have.

I can't find a mustang in a junkyard nearby.. anyone have any ideas?

I found a rubber grommet at O'Reilly's... PCV grommet for a Pontiac. It fit the mounting equipment perfectly, and after some shaving with my knife, fit the holes in the chassis perfectly as well. 42054 is the number for the grommet, in case anyone else runs into this issue/thread.

You dont really need the grommet you can just overlap the wires that are there already and it will support it.
