Need an E-BRAKE!!!


I am in desprite need for an E-Brake..i have a 2000 v6 standerd of course but my e-brake is getting week...if i set the e-brake on out of gear on a slow it will roll fairly easily..i woke up one morning and it rolled about 10 feet from where i parked it...what will i need to replace for sure? my e-brake handle and all...or the actual e-brake? or tha whole thing? and where do i get an e-brake

if your lucky, just the cord. Check that first and see if its not getting hung up on any thing

underneath the car, in the middle (you will have to remove your drive shaft) you will see the ebrake cables and you can adjust them at the connecting fitting where it splits into two (ebrake cable split to the rear brake cables.) also check on the rear calipers to see if the ebrake springs (only spring on a caliper, can't miss it) are in place on both sides driver/passenger and the cables are connected as well.

There is a recall on the 01 for the E-Brake. Sounds like you back pads are just going though. Take you car to the Ford dealer and ask if it has any recalls.
