first what I thought was my perfect gt bumper was a little banged up and wasn't the right color, I tried to install my mach 1 grille delete, broke the 2 pieces on the bottom lip.

Mine went as easy as anything, i would compare it to a shift knob install and those snap in place shifter bezels.

Easy. Mine was from AM. Got it last cyber Monday. The lower part of it has two 2-2.5 inch wide plastic/rubber tabs under it which attaches it to the bumper... Check the insallation guide from AM for more elaborate details...

Where did you get yours? I think the hardest part is removing the stock honeycomb grille...

i bought mine off of AM, i watched the video and read the instructions, i couldnt get the lower lip onto the bumper and while trying I snapped one plastic off, soon after the other.

That's weird... Mine was really easy to put in... I didn't have to pry the tabs open for it to slide onto the bumper at all... 'guess you got a defective item... Either you try to return it or just stick them back on... If you're planning to keep it on permanently, why not just try a double sided tape or something?

The one I got was an old one and had little pin things that went into the factory grill holes.

And the hardest part was definitely getting the old grill out. The one push pin I couldn't get out for shit, I ended up breaking it.
you can pull up on the bumper A LOT. Learned this trying to get those damn bolts from the old grill out. I thought I was gonna break it off I pulled it up so much.

Yeah, the bumper can handle a lot of pulling and bending without the worries of cracking or messing up the paint...

you can bend the fascia of the bumper so you could snap those tabs in place at a good angle... i take it you didnt try and bend your fascia

i definitely bent the fascia. i didn't want to bend it too far and damage the bumper/paint though.
