VSS sending unit

So im recalibrating the speedo and want to now if the vss sending unit is the same for the v6 as it is for the 4.6 2v? All the wires match so im wondering if I can tap into the wires?

Also I ask for the vss only, im not buying a $370 tuner for a part that im not going to need since this is the last thing for this car.

Im going to do it in an hour or two.

Same. You have a T5 and so do the GTs. Same sensor, same wires. All good.

My speedometer isnt working attached the green/white wire back together and works fine but the speed is still off...

Going to check currents tomorrow, at lease it only off by an even 10 mph.

No auto but the diagram is the same for both trannys. Idk if the ground source was bad or the on key current I taped into.

Unless my calculations are off in the speedcal. 3.27/4.10=.80 right?

*update*

After much frustration I refunded the speedcal tool back to AM and have a SCT on the way... I didnt want to put more money in my car but I have no choice now.

@Red: Ford said the problem is my radio, its messing up the speedcal.

Verdict: speedcal is a waste. But AM customer service is great!

Speedcal was always a waste. It's basically an expensive set of speedo gears.
