Another Exhaust thread

So I had planned on just getting divorced catback thrush welded, but I wanted longtubes down the road, the way i'm looking at it, it'd be better to just do everything now.

Longtube Headers mac or pacesetter-->h pipe?-->2 hiflow cats-->thrush welded mufflers-->3.5out slashcut tips

for the rest of piping use 2.5

will I lose low end torque with this setup?

What does everyone think/recommend? I really want to get this rolling but I want to do everything right the first time.

first off before started "another thread" u should do a search then if u dont find the right info do a google search and type modded after the phase. it will generally search the site for u.

now that thats out of the way, if u go with mac lt's they dont make the hts coated ones anymore(the cheaper ones). unless u find somebody that has them in stock and doesnt have to get a set from mac. from what ppl say on the site the only real difference in mac and pacesetter is mac has a flange to bolt on a midpipe and pacesetter has no flange and can be welded to an existing midpipe. bolt on is a cleaner look but its personal preference.

first off i've searched the shit out of this subject plenty of times.

I was thinking that I'd install the headers and then drive to a shop and have them fab the rest of the setup? so with that plan wouldn't it make sense to get the cheaper pacesetters because they're for welding?

also is an h-pipe the best option for longtubes?

the pacesetters would make it cheaper if the shop will fab a midpipe for cheap but keep in mind that once they are welded u will have to cut them to take off. word is that pulling trans (say for replacing the clutch)with lt's installed is a PITA also u will need a tune from a shop or handheld tuner for the longtubes because of the 02 sensor location

as for the hpipe question this is copied from the "look here before asking about mods" sticky

Thoughts: Great beginner modification. A mid pipe is not needed for an even fire v6 mustang divorced duals may be
ran if you desire. Divorced Duals (two separated pipes), tend to have a louder sound. Xpipe, tends to be more raspy. H pipe tends to be
deeper.
This can vary depending on muffler choice. You can also have an exhaust shop custom fabricate a catback,
the only difference is you won't get mandrel bends. If your just looking for a small bit more sound a Y pipe catback is
ok, however this is not the best for performance and sound. with exhaust you also do not want to get piping that is too big. this will cause a loss in backpressure with will cause you to lose low end power.

Catalytic converters are necessary to reduce emissions but create back pressure due to the exhaust gases being forced through a catalyst, and therefore decrease high end engine power. Many modern catalytic converters only produce 1-3 psi of back pressure. Hi-flow catalytic converters can replace the standard units in order to provide lower backpressure. Installing aftermarket catalytic converters is restricted by law in some countries (wikipedia).

For pacesetters you could always use t-bolt clams.

I took a pro-chamber from a gt and modified it to fit, and added flowmaster american thunders. I'd recommend it.
