went to the track ....... angry on times Help!
so over the week end i finally brought the car to the 1/4 mile track and im pretty upset on what it ran so i need some help ...... here are the mods
split port swap ported and polished [intakes and heads] comp cams valve springs and retainers head studs arp head gaskets 3 layer Forged internals [from ssm] 8.1 compression bored .30 over Oil pan from supercoupe motor with custom baffles welded in and extended pickup tube valve covers bbk Spark plugs NGK tr6 [colder] cam .550 lift [compcams] vortech 12 psi detriot trutrack diff motive gear 3.73s sct chip/ custom tuned by ramseys performance walbo 255 fuel pump Vortech 155 inline pump injectors 42 pound Maf svt lightning exhaust x-pipe flowmaster american thunder exhaust ford racing lowering springs 2 inch drop tokico shocks ford racing sway bars Built tranny – 4r70w stock stall for now it ran a 15.5 at 96 mph i dont get it ...... the car on the dyno made 305hp 290tq and even thats really low i think 4 what mods are in the car let me no what you guys think .... think its the tune ??? |

full break and about 20% gas. on green, about 90% gas (so no spinning) once rolling, FT. That should help. As 6er said, Slamming the gas on green is a no go to times.

The reason it's wise not to go WOT on green is because the automatic computer shifts the car into a higher gear, reducing low end torque you'd otherwise get from letting it go through the gears naturally.

Sounds like you should be running 12s pretty easy. I would take it to another tuner and get my money back..

a huge problem for you is the stock converter, most likely close to a full second waisted there.
