Suspension differences between the v6 and gt's

I'm looking at getting either the eibach or the steeda "Drag launch" kit for my v6. I already have put in new upper and lowers in the rear, and I'm planing on getting some subframe connectors in the very near future. I came from owning a thunderbird w/ the IRS so all the solid rear end stuff is all new to me. I dont care how the car handles on the road...I can deal with a handfull to drive...

I havent seen any drag launch kits for the v6's, I know with the tbirds the springs are made for v6 or the v8's cause the drops would be un equal and such...but what about for the mustangs? i dont want to get new springs and the car sits up higher than stock. I'd like a 1"-2" drop, but I realistically want performance over the looks. Any recremendations to which kit I need would be greatly appreciated.

Btw... Has anyone used a spool in the back of a daily driven mustang? As far as driveability...I have a truck w/ spools in the front and rear...but i never drive it on the road(rock crawler) and is there any issues w/ running a spool/full locker in an 8.8 and breaking the axels on the road/turning etc?

th steeda drag kit stage 1 and 2 will fit the v6 I am getting them for mine, as for the full locker don't get it you will mess something up on the streets, if you want a good strong rear upgrade your 7.5 to an 8.8 with a 31 spline upgrade and a eaton or auburn locker you won't be able to out to much power to it.

Well I really want to go the 8.8 and a full on locker/spool. I'd rather have something more solid than a bunch of clutches and such that can wear down over time. I want the car locked full time. I jsut want to see if anyone has a spool in a car they drive on the street.

so far 6 years in my truck, nothing but abusing it the dana 60's front/rear w/ spools nothing has given up...The tlock in the tbird....another story. my 7.5 has the tlock in it and it finially is on its way out after about 15k miles of abuse/spinning tires/ MT streets.

the full lockers are a pain in the ass on the street... they hit way too hard.

yeah ford t-lok is crap especially the 7.5 version, but get an 8.8 with a eaton or auburn and you shouldn't have a problem at all, but a full lock system really won't last with aggressive driving on the streets you'll snap and axle fast.

Look into the different torque sensing differentials (Truetrac or Torsen). They link the axles with gears, not clutches. They operate like open diffs until wheel spin is present. Then the torque is shifted to the wheel with higher resistance.
