Rear end upgrade
They say with a power increase that you have to upgrade the rear end, what does this mean? what parts are required?

unless your looking for 300+ rwhp don't worry about upgrade the rear end....unless your talking about just adding gears and a tlok?
however from the power increase part of your question it makes me think my first sentence answers your question. |

Well i was just curious more than anything about it. Lets say if i did want to go north of 300 hp what would i have to upgrade?
(also, is the tlock an gears worth the upgrade if i dont go 300+ hp?) Thanks

well the 7.5 can hold quite a bit of hp...however sometimes they can snap. so some guys upgrade to an 8.8 off of a GT. As for the gears and tlok...yeah if you're gonna mod the v6 then yes.

rear end = rear differential. This means swapping the v6 7.5 rear end with the GT's, bigger and more durable 8.8 rear end. Necessary for hold up to the extra power.
Edit: 6 er beat me

![]() The diff is part of the rearend. Rearend is a collective term for the entire unit. I.E. Diff, ring and pinion, axle shafts, axle tubes, diff housing, and shock and control are mounts.

I was saying that in the general idea of the rear end. Obviously if you wanted an 8.8, all those extras would have to follow.
