Best SC and turbo
I want to know what the best super charger and turbo chargers are. I dont want to compare the two but i'd like to know hoq each kit will perform. I have a 2004 5spd mustang, its a 3.9. It is my daily driver right now with about 80k.
Id like the $new of the kits, what all the parts id need to change and what power i will get in return for the $$$. THANKS

Vortech - great kit , no intercooler
Procharger - great kit, intercooled, blower is slightly less efficient but the i/c more than makes up for it (can also upgrade to D1) M112 - decent kit, unique, no intercooler M90 - intercooled kit off super coupe, great starter kit for a dd. *hard to put together* Turbo: current production, nobody. Or find somebody who can/will make you a kit. As long as its made "properly" then it > the above

TMA turbo was supposed to start up in december...then in january...Most likely wont know until he actually starts again. As for power, it depends on what you put on with it and how much psi you want to run.

dont want spray. looking for a daily driver with some power. 350-400rwhp would be nice. What do i need to get my car in that range. will the 7.5 rear end handle that?
i wish i could get those numbers with the car being n/a but thats impossible on the v6

the 7.5 would need to be swapped out with an 8.8. To get your car in that range....FI.

You don't need to swap out the 7.5 if your driving on the street. Just get a detroit tru trac. It will hold up especially for street use.
And if you only want that much just get a SC unless you can find a cheap turbo kit. Turbo is by far the best bet for almost any vehicle out there. A turbo is the most efficient means of FI and there is no denying that. No matter what vehicle no matter what a SC car same HP vs a Turbo car same HP turbo will win if everything else is the same. I mean turbo will win thatt was phrased retarded. And as far as NA that is just as expensive as building a turbo kit and you can easily get 350-400 rwhp for the same as 260-300 rwhp of NA. Plus a turbo is much better for DD than high compression crazy cam NA. All just my 2 cents

talk to JT on here. He runs a 7.5 with tru trac and DRs on the track with his stalled auto D1 procharged mustang. I think he is pushing like 370 + to the wheels and he is using it and launching on the track, I think he has a 3000 stall convertor. I am not positive.
I think that if you don't plan on going to the track you will not have a problem with the tru trac. And even if you did it still should be fine. If you are only going to drive it on the street you won't get enough traction to even hook up with a turbo. Also just add some suspension work so you don't have any wheel hop that is what snaps pinion gears and chews teeth of ring gears. I would not suspect a street tired car breaking a 7.5 with tru trac. Obviously it is up to the OP. If he can find a used 8.8 then go for it but the 8.8 has the same 28 spline axles and the same weak tlok that most 7.5's use. A tru trac uses gears and is much tougher and it doesn't have the weak clutches of the tlok which burn up.
