... you would have to get it bored out if you wanna go that big just because you can't pull to much longer of a stroke then what the 4.5l offers...

but you never know... they might come out with something in a year or two

im stuck with my car till after college... which isn't a bad thing... but some people have obligations to their cars and can't sell it even if they wanted too...

don't think obligation is the right word but still

the v6 mustang is made for the conservative driver. The target market is anyone who just wants the name of the mustang. The GT is made more for performance, but still really isn't up to par with the cars in it's class, and then theres the Cobra.

To the OP:
Because Mopar, Ford and GM were fat and happy for 20+ some years producing low tech engines that were cheap to produce that they could slap into many platforms. So while they were asleep at the drawing board taking in great profits for years, import manufactures were gearing up for the future, perfecting their automotive designs. The big three thought they could rely on a strong brand loyalty. This was very true for the post WWII era, but not today. The import auto makers were patient. And now they have succeeded in taking that brand loyalty away. Toyota is now the leading auto seller in America. I remember when Toyota vehicles were a joke. The big three are in a spot that they probably won't be able to pull out of. Eventually they will be bought out by import manufactures who will bleed them slowly until someday their models will be a thing of the past. Remember one thing, when we beat Japan in WWII the emperor made a statement that if they couldn't beat America militarily, they would beat us economically. I wonder if he forsaw it happening so easily.

Not to mention ford doesn't wanna use a dohc 4valve motor on a v6 that puts out like 260hp

then they would have had to up the gt

then up the mach 1

then up the cobra

and ford would be in the SLUM
