ive always wondered why cars like the nissan altima or maxima, can get like 270hp out of a 3.5l V6, but all ford could squeeze out of a 3.8l V6 is 190hp? ive read however that the new style mustangs(either 09 or 2010) V6S will receive huge power boosts, like 280hp. is it just that ford took awhile to catch up, or they just wanna produce cheaper cars?

ford depends n v8 while imports always use the v6 and focus only on them so in the design the make every engine to sqeeze power from every little space

according to the math i just did, if our engines were built to put out as much hp per liter as the altimas and maximas did, our cars would have 293hp and a gt would be pushing out 354hp

if ford made our engine stronger they would have to sell the v6 and v8 at much higher prices but if our motor would be done like imports we could have even 300 horses being only a 3.8 v6

lol, i would never get a rice rocket engine. however i do plan on dropping in a 4.2l stroker next year. i hope to be making about 350rwhp after i customize it, and even more hp when i twin turbo it in about 2-3 years. my ultimate goal is to be able to beat a corvette. but who knows, in 3 years theyll probly be making like 700hp, lol


El cangri's rite. chevy relies on size. they got a huge 5.7l v8 making the ls1 and a gigantic 6.1l v8 powering the ls2 in the GTOs

from wut ive seen of before and afters on V6 mustangs, tt seems to give u about 200 more hp. so maybe in the 500-600hp range if its put on a well built custom 4.2L stroker
