Gt exhaust onto a V6?

New to the forum as I just bought a 2004 mustang a couple of days ago. I'm looking to get a deeper sound from the exhaust, so I'm gonna do with true duals. I was wondering if the x-pipe from a v8 would fit onto a v6 without any fancy fab work cause I don't feel like spending a ton of money

the x-pipe wont really give you a deep sound. they sound raspy (atleast to me). H-pipe or prochamber is the way to go

just a FYI, and hopefully it helps in your situation- Many companys sell unused GT "Take Off" parts/systems very, very cheap. They are the parts taken off a GTwhen upgrading to something like a Saleen package.
Good luck, take your time picking the best mid-pipe for yourself. Its the funnest mod to do in my opinion.

long tubes and h pipe get you a deeper tone. xpipe just makes it sound a littler raspy.

+1. Would be easier to just buy a midpipe designed to fit the V6 exhaust manifolds or have one custom fabbed.

Tanks guys, I actually meant to say the stock h-pipe that comes off the gt, lol late night. How much cheaper would it be to just get a custom made one from a shop rather than getting one off AM?

Quite a bit cheaper, especially if you were planning on going catted because the shop could reuse your cats. The average price of having a shop custom fab a midpipe, buy mufflers + tips, and install it all is $250-350.
