Removing smog equipment is illegal in every state. Just because they dont check for it doesn't make it legal. If you don't have cats, you car is not street legal.

Here in California, They are putting out roadside checkpoints, You must be able to pass smog on the side of the road or else they will transfer you to a state ref. So having no cats when they test you means youre screwed to put it simply. So having a street legal car means you have to pass smog with it here.

Really? did he go there? pushing 10 psi of boost and you are gonna throw the Stock card lol. Thats a modded engine bro, just becasues its from the factory doesnt mean its a STOCK 4.6. and you are putting down 416 with a pully? lol wow my 78 chevy put down more than that weighting 2 tons and all motor. My LITTLE v6 is prob round the 320 area and are an additional geat than yours an a bit lighter, just with 3.73 gear it'd be close to me leaving you. thats with a 30lbs 10' woofer and 1000 watt amp in the trunk. Dont let me mention the fact the next thing on my list is a 75 shot. Dude your DECADE old roush isnt that great! I AM practically still stock, CAI, tuner, headers xpipe, muffs. Cmon bro, there are WAY faster V6s STREET LEGAL V6s in this section.

which is why i don't live in Cali...emission stations don't even really worry about checking cats here. They just want their paychecks at the end of the work week

Here its the complete opposite, If you have a missing hose for something, youll fail visual. Now these roadside smog checkpoints are making it even harder.

No emissions at all here. We can get away with scrapping all of the emissions shit as long as our vehicle isn't annoying the hell out of everyone around. But even the ricers with no cats and fartcans screaming don't get pulled over to have their cars checked.

I would never live (or even drive) in Cali for exactly this reason. Too many bullshit rules that aren't really doing any good besides making the state a bunch of money. The worst thing we have around here is some speed cameras on the interstate, but the speeding tickets don't put any points on your license.

Nope, which means i'm at my max i can go without blowing the motor. I can probably get away with cams which would put me at 435-445 but dont want to risk it yet
