Question

My car vs. 01GT Manual?


I have an 02 automatic v6 with cai, exhaust, sct chip, lt's, 4:10's/T-LOK, a cam, and a tune from houston performance. And I want to race this kid at my school who has a 01GT Manual and he has flowmasters and pulleys but im pretty sure that's it.. Do ya'll think I stand a chance??
btw.. I have saleen 18 by 10 rims all the way around so there pretty heavy, he has bullit rims.

I want to say it depends on how good of a driver he is. I'd say your close though. What kind of numbers are you getting with all those mods?

I lost the dyno sheet so I can't remeber excatly lol, but I think it was like 217 hp and 225lbs/tq

and your not stock i know that but this guy has 2 more cylinders then you and more HP and TQ. If you had a power adder of some sort id say you could take him no problem

There are lots of factors that if they were in your favor would give you a good chance. Tires, road conditions, drivers, other problems, ect. From what you've given us though I wouldn't expect to win.

I need to run a stock GT sometime, I'm curious how I'd do.

Bro cmon, only putting down 220s and wanting an 01 GT? Not happening, according to Stag3motorsports the GT is 302 TQ at the crank bout 250 at the tires. Just numbers wise you lose. My 11 v6 would prob lose b/c of the numbers game, stock for stock but atleast it would be close. If he's running what you think he is, I could take him, but thats a different story.

a bone stock 99-04 will generally dyno high 220s in hp and high 260s tq ....
