Wha Color?

Hey guys, I am going to be putting a different cam in my car next friday.

I want to paint my lower intake manifold. I currently have a windstar upper intake and was thinking of painting it silvery grey.

I have a couple questions.
1. Do I need to prep the intake manifold. I plan on using some brake cleaner to get the grease and heavy stuff off. Then I am going to pressure wash it to get the rest off and make sure it is clean. Is this good enough?

2. Do I need to prime the intake manifold first?

3. Should I just use High temp paint? Also do I need to put a clear coat over it?

Ok any other tips. I just want it to look a little nicer. Do you guys think the silvery grey would look good?

1.) take it to a machine shop have them vat the thing
2.) no, well I don't know your paint skill
3.) sure, no clear needed
4.) don't paint the ports obviously

Ok thank you.

I am planning on putting some tape over the ports. I am going to try to find a picture and see what color you think I should get to match that. Hold on.

I am going with the comp max street strip cam.

It is the same specs as the SSMS lumpy cam except for it has a 112 LSA and will idle a little less rough and have a different torque curve.
