I just took my g/fs car to Autozone yesterday to pull the code and I got the same code. The guy said the most likely cause was a loose gas cap but it could have also been a cracked vacuum hose or cracked EVAP canister.

nah gas cap aint loose and evap canister looks ok from what i can see i checked. if i got a leak im betting its a vacuum line. just wanted to see if any one els who has had this found something small and simple... but it hasnt came back either and ive been on the road all morning since 8 am

It might take 100 miles for it to come back. I don't understand how it could be the gas cap either, since its either in or its not.

gas caps are funny things if you have any debris (ie. rust) around the sealing lip on the filler hole the cap wont seal. and im happy to say my ride doesn't have one spot of rust so it aint that. and ive put about 250KM on this morning thats about 155 miles so where is it? lol

i get that all the time on my truck, the gasket that sealed on the top of the filler neck to the cap was cracked and torn. replaced the gasket with cork and it hasnt come back on since.
