Cobra bumper 99-01

why is it that no after market manufacturer reproduce the 99-01 cobra bumper??? IMO i think its the best looking bumper for a stang, besides the mach1 chin and delete...and why are the sooo scarce? I know its was around 10 years ago that ford stopped makeing that style...but come on the 02-04 cobra bumper is all over the place

Yes. 200 were made and shipped to Australia. I believe it was the same as the 01 as well. Except the steering wheel and everything for the driver was on the opposite side of the car.

You are right though... 01 style cobra bumpers are impossible to find. I wonder why too?

Because nobody makes an aftermarket replica like they do with the 03-04 bumpers. Honestly, I can't see why nobody thought making a replica 99/01 Cobra bumper would be a good idea. But I think there may still be a few select Ford dealerships around the country that might be able to get their hands on a new 99/01 Cobra bumper. I know there was one in the south (Texas I believe) that was able to get the Bullitt scoop deletes for a long time (although I think they might have stopped getting them now).

One thing that pisses me off and i will regret it forever is that i originally wanted an 03-04 bumper, and some kid i called was selling his 01 bumper in some orange-ish color for 150 dollars with NO CRACKS just some paint chips...

I was like nah i am lookin for the 03-04...this was before i knew the worth of them!!! i kill myself thinking about that. haha

My body shop has a local distributor here in metro detroit where he got one for me just over 3 months ago. I bet if you ask around you can find a localish company who still makes em.

The Mach 1 bumper is the same as yours just with a chin spoiler. And it has fog lights which could easily be put on your car.
