Dyno Test= Depressed!!

Went to Extreme Performance yesterday in OKC. did 3 dyno pulls and air/fuel ratio..very disappointed..got 178hp 1st pull and other 2 pulls got 180 hp and almost 200 torq. i knew it wouldn't be much but i thought closer to 200.

What have you done to your car? Where those numbers at the crank or wheels?

wheels..nothing special..bbk shortie headers "which i know don't do nothing now, didnt know that then". CAI. Exhaust. CDC Shaker kit. 3.73 gears. SCT tuner 91 octane

I would say you don't really have anything to be disappointed about. I mean look at it this way:

-Shaker only works at high speeds and on the dyno your car is sitting still
-Gears don't add hp/tq
-From a CAI, exhaust, and tune you got 10-20rwhp

true...they had a huge fan in front of the car in place for the street..but ya not real thing and they told me the gears take away from the dyno but help on tha street..makes sence to me...just wondering if i was to take off my top 2cats..i dont have my bottom 2 and i have an H pipe and 2 chamber mufflers...just wondering if itll be louder and raspier or just raspier or just louder?

It would be both. But most of the raspiness happens higher in the RPMs.

Hey bro, dont be depressed you still have a Mustang and thats somthing to be happy about. Besides keep modding that bad boy and it will be at the mark you want it to be at in no time!

HELL YA lol..im going for a cam and of course a TLok that i didnt put in with my gears. but i have a baby actualy on the way so the modding will slow down

haha ya man im excited..its going to be awsome.. im going to have a custom baby seat put in tha back of the stang so that no matter what it would not get her so my baby can go every where i go..just messin..im selling a 2008 f250 v10 though to get some money..if you know any body

two of my freinds have gts that are supercharged, yeah there fast, and they may brag, but all i say it my bumper says mustang on it as well haha, plus i get to ride around and because they always want to drive so i dont have to waste gas...plus i love my v6, if its fast or not i dont mind, i love it

Those are very respectable numbers. You did great. Now go out and enjoy those tunes.
VMP posts his best tuning results and his best for split port is 180rwhp twice. So you are doing just fine.

how is tht depressing imo if your to get mid 160s hp at the wheels thts stock and you only have exhuast with a tune and cai and u got like 180....thumbs up actually
