yeah im just going to have to suck it up and pay, the shop wont touch it if i do any of the dis assembly. so i have to take it to them to dis assemble, then pick it up and drive it across town to the shop that will weld the tubes then take it back again lol.

Did you remove the quad mounts?

FYI. On the S-spring, ford's method worked best. Hammer it in.

Sweet what do you think of your 4.10's? I just upgraded to a 8.8 posi with new ford racing 4.10's. I love the launch and the tires chirping going into second. But I havnt really tried to break them loose yet. I feel like I completely lost my top end though. Did this happen to you?

I'm not sure it it was the s spring that I'm thinking of, but the shop that helped me do mine just heated it up in an oven and if slid on perfectly.

I have the quad mounts and the brackets and bolts for them, I ordered new quad shocks too As for the S-spring I used a piece of 3/16" X 1" steel that was 2 feet long and basically slide the s-spring in on the steel and started hammering, it helped channel the s-spring in and worked pretty well, then after the s-spring was in I just wiggled the piece of steel out. It worked quite well. And my drilled and slotted rotors and breaks come in this afternoon

It was probably a bearing. Not a good idea either. But hey, it's not like it's in MY car.

That seems right....you're gonna be at a higher rpm range than stock gearing and will have less torque to get that initial pull.
