hey guys i bought a windstar kit of a member but it didnt come with the low pro egr mount and steven at vap doesnt sell the mount sepretley from the kit what should i do?

1. Delete EGR
2. Call VAP and ask for the mount, say you lost it if they give you any bs.
3. See if another member who deleted their EGR, has the low egr mount

stephen does not sell the mount separately because he doesn't have them. When stephen buys the windstar manifold from someone it comes with the mount and goes out with the kit. He probably doesnt have extras.

I can get you the mount if you want, depending on what your willing to pay. There is also a VAP EGR bracket to remount the electronic part that you will need if you dont have it.

thats how i got mine. and i dont think there is any noticeable difference in mpg. the only thing you have to worry about is emissions. if they do a visual under the hood you may fail. there should be some writeups if you search it up.

and i forgot to mention that, when the EGR mount came it had a ford cast on it. so its an oem part froma windstar not made by VAP.

if you goto a junkyard i think you could get one from a 96-98 windstar

yeah the actual EGR mount is taken right from the van just like the manifold.

the one made by VAP is the black powdercoated L shaped bracket that holds the electronic part of the EGR system.

your kit will come with the EGR components. You simply just dont install them and sell them to someone who needs them, or keep them in case you ever move and have emissions.

Well then get rid of it. It should only cost you a couple of bucks for the cap at a hardware store. Get a brass one so you don't strip the threads on the manifold. And if you have a dremel or grinder you can easily make the block off plate from some 1/8" steel or the stock EGR mount can also be modified to work as a block off plate.

EGR is for emission only anyways. Without it though, your fuel burns more complete. But no, I took mine off a while back.
