a little update
i posted a thread about 3 months ago about me camming my car. well things are finally done and finished last week. just though some of you might want to see. Cam/head install was done professionally by a friend of mine. heads were also assembled at a local machine shop. right now the car is sitting at a place called radical racing waiting to be dyno'd.
What has been installed: 212/218 .55 cam from ssms 918 springs compcams retainers ported heads w/ stock valves (transferred over from my old heads) ported lower - no imrc windstar upper w/ 65mm tb screamon demon coilpack MSD ignition wires 24lb fuel injectors car will be on the dyno hopefully tommorow and ill post a sheet whenever i get it. in about another week or two im having 4.10's and a posi put on also. Car runs, but runs like shit lol. it cant really hold an idle and stalls out. sounds good while on the throttle though. A/F and timing are way off so i cant drive it without this dyno tune. we've done the best we could with my handheld to sort out the A/F so it runs a little better but im going to let the pro's sort it out. what to you guys guess its going to put down? im hoping 220-230, idk if this cam has it in it though.

between the parts and install, easily over $2k. if you can do it all yourself it would be alot cheaper.
so it may have been better to just supercharge it, but now if/when i do supercharge it...ill make alot more power than a stock 3.8 motor. at this point im debating whether to get forged internals of i do...

i would say partly windstar. I had a hard time tweaking mine until it idled ok. It still isnt great

Nice job man. I would have said get a turbo for that cost...but you are right on the money...when you do get a turbo that thing should rip.

definitely a large part is the cam, the guy said the cam timing was way off but i imagine the windstar screwed with it as well
sorry guys hopefully tomorrow, they didnt get to do any pulls before the place closed today, they just started tweaking the timing and a/f a little to get ready for the first pull. i will have vids up as soon as it does. im hoping ill be taking her home tomorrow
