what transmission is it???
hey guys just wondering if anyone knew if the 2006 model v6 has the same t5 as a 2002. reason for asking is i can get one for 200 and it only has 2000 miles on it. lady was 60yrs old and decided she couldn't drive a stick like she used to and wanted an automatic. so the ford dealership swaped it for her. I know someone out there will know

Not sure if the overall design is the same, but yes it's a T5. The T5 was used in 79-09 or 10 models I believe as well as some 5.0 V8 models.

It's a T-5 but the extension housing and shifter is completely different, the front bearing retainer is different because '05 up use a hydraulic clutch instead of a cable clutch, and the input shaft is different and uses a 0.5933" pilot instead of a 0.6732" pilot.
Basically this transmission will not fit your '06 at all. |
