this is my first post on MM

Someone i know has an eclipse gt w/ a chip and an exhaust and thats it. wuts my chances of beating it. iv got true duals and im an automatic. dont know if his is auto or manuel. Its got the stock turbo in it. Just asking if ive got a snowballs chance in hell...

damn i was stupid lol...the thing didn't even have a turbo anyway

but i took a beating from the forum and i stayed around

Hey hey WHOA. Hold up there buddy. My first car that I owned (and still own) is a 1996 Diamond Star Motorsports, Mitsubishi Eclipse.

I loved everything about it...except that its needs fixing now after a female hit my car.

Originaly I had a small filter on it but found out I was doing more harm than good. The MAF was telling the engine how much was coming in and I was adding more after so it was an inaccurate reading.

For the lower hole (the one closer to the MAF) I salvaged the rubber boot from the stock intake, Attached a bored out 90 degree hose coupler, to a short piece of fuel hose, to the factory PVC hose. Everything holds and works.

Look just above the MAF sensor. That's the bored out 90. Picture was taken before I removed the small filter.

P.S. I know the throttle cable looks bent, this was taken before I fixed it.
