strut retaining nut

hello everybody. since i installed mm caster/camber plates an annoying rattling popping sound keeps coming up. i usually get rid of it by tightening the driver side strut retaining nut, but the noise comes back within 3-4 weeks. the thread has messed up a little so i used some locktite but it only gave about an extra week or two before the noise came back. does anyone know why that nut keeps coming loose? thanks for any help.

Did you put in all the spacers? You might need new struts. Are you using an impact wrench?

Ya I'm pretty sure all the spacers are there unless the shop misplaced one when they put on the new struts (Tokicko blues). Is there anyway to tell if any spacers are missing without removing the struts? Also how could a missing spacer cause the nut to loosen? The shop used an impact wrench, when I tighten it I used an offset wrench and vicegrip

You grab the top of the strut with the vicegrip and hold it in place while you turn the nut? I had to do that too. My impact wrench was too weak to spin the nut fast enough that the strut wouldn't spin, so I just had the whole damn thing spinning

Having all the spacers allows it to be tight against the bearings. Without it being tight, it can rattle.

Ya I'm pretty sure all the spacers are installed because the sound started ever since I put the cc plates on and me and my friend did it by my house and I remember him using all the spacers and nothing being left. Is there any easy way to check if all the spacers are on just to make sure?
