Mac O/R H pipe

So I took my pipe to get it on this morning (needed flanges put on my catback section), and we get done, and there is a bit of an exhaust leak coming from where the header connects to the midpipe.

Suggestions? Even the guy at the shop couldn't get it right, its a lot better than before but its still noticeable, especially in higher rpms. It seems kind of on and off too.

In better news....3.5 inch magnaflow rolled tips = sex

did he replace the passenger side manifold/mid pipe gasket when he took the factory tubing off..if not then that'll explain the leak. head to Advance Auto and pick one up (that's if the v6 uses a gasket on that side like a GT)

I dont think there even was a gasket there. But thanks, Ill go see if I can get one and try that tomorrow. Is it just a crush gasket or an o ring gasket or what?

I always thought there should be a gasket there regardless... When I got my new passenger side manifold and drivers side it came with 2 gaskets.

it's some fucking metal gasket with a ring tac welded on ...everytime the midpipe is removed it basically breaks (at least on a GT)...i've gone through 3 already moving shit around. I think it's another way for the dealer to make bank...i get them through work at Advance so i don't mind changing them...PITA though
