Help On Mufflers. No Exhaust Mufflers Only!

I know some troll will decide to spam links to exhaust threads in here but I'm tired of sifting through dozens of clips of exhaust sounds and I just want a few straight up answers.

I want a deeper much more aggressive tone to my exhaust and, with one exception, I'm pretty sold on going with the Flowmaster name. After looking at all they have to offer I think I have it narrowed down to the few that meet my criteria...I think

1. I'm keeping all stock exhaust except for the muffler and tip.

2. This is a daily driver and I enjoy listening to the radio so I don't want something all that loud...

3.I'm not here to sound like a ricer...I want a deep throaty feel to it.

4. ABSOLUTELY NO HIGHWAY DRONE!! I HATE highway drone!!! I do alot of highway driving and this is a must!!

5. I don't need a loud exhaust when I'm cruising down the road. I want something that sounds good at startup or giving it some throttle off a stoplight.

After looking around and hearing from friends with some of these exhaust I think my best options are..

40 Delta Flow Series, 50 Delta Flow Series(I believe this is my best pick), and I've heard recommendations for the Super-44 although I think that would be way too much interior noise.

Apart from the Flowmaster series, the DynoMax VT muffler could be just what I'm looking for. I don't know much about it or any personal reviews but it seems to be pretty legit. Any information on that would be awesome. Maybe this is just what I need???

I would like to hear your suggestions, advice, and comments on these mufflers and the one best suited for my needs.

bad idea...it'll sound like poo...duals or go home

2. This is a daily driver and I enjoy listening to the radio so I don't want something all that loud...
you're in a v6 so don't worry about being loud

3.I'm not here to sound like a ricer...I want a deep throaty feel to it.
won't happen past 3k rpms

4. ABSOLUTELY NO HIGHWAY DRONE!! I HATE highway drone!!! I do alot of highway driving and this is a must!!
then dont get flowmasters...they drone like a bat outta hell

5. I don't need a loud exhaust when I'm cruising down the road. I want something that sounds good at startup or giving it some throttle off a stoplight.
any chambered muffler, but don't half ass it like a ricer...do it right

After looking around and hearing from friends with some of these exhaust I think my best options are..

get some original 40's...or super 40's if you like the delta series...or thrush since you'll get the overall sound for half the price

Apart from the Flowmaster series, the DynoMax VT muffler could be just what I'm looking for. I don't know much about it or any personal reviews but it seems to be pretty legit. Any information on that would be awesome. Maybe this is just what I need???
did you find a sound clip for it...if not that's a good indication they won't sound good

I would like to hear your suggestions, advice, and comments on these mufflers and the one best suited for my needs.
like i said...DO NOT HALF ASS THIS WITH ONE DAMN MUFFLER

now that those questions have been answered honestly...what's your next one

I've only seen good reviews for the VT Muffler. It's relatively new I think.

I'm really not looking to make a dual exhaust. I don't want anything that loud or expensive. Just something to give a little more oomph to what's already there. I figure just changing the muffler would deepen it up a bit...

and +1 for those answers!

you'll kick your own ass if you get a single setup then have a dual setup pull up next to you at a red light....believe me i've been there and done that. Hell the v6 i just picked up as a DD has a honda exhaust on it...but don't worry i'm gonna save it asa my income tax check gets in the mail...should take 2-3 more weeks

as for duals being pricey...find good deals on mufflers and look around different shops. use GT take off pipes to be even cheaper. it's well worth it in the end

Listen to 6er, he knows what he's talking about. Dual exhaust will cost more (probably in the $250-400 depending on what mufflers you go with) but they will sound much better and you will definitely end up kicking yourself in the ass if you go with a single muffler setup.

hell since i haven't decided on which mufflers to go with on my new v6's setup to match the prochamber...i should put the prochamber on and have the shop do side pipes just so i can show everyone why ESG and me don't reccomend them..then i can add another setup to my already large list of setups lol

Do it. So I can call you a ricer until you figure out what mufflers you want to go with

Just chiming in... Seems like all the questions has been answered already... Conclusion: duals or go home!

No disrespect.

Trust me get duals. I recommend Flowmaster 40s, but there is a little highway drone when going around 74. As far as town driving its not bad at all, but it will vibrate a little on the interstate. If its too much for you it always gives you an excuse to get a better sound system.

It's weird, I hear/see this comment a lot lately... I don't get any droning issue... FWY/city driving... Or even at idle... The h-pipe maybe? maybe the way everything is welded together???

magnaflow mufflers with H pipe might do the trick. They sound nice but arnt very loud until you get on it. Im also guessing that highway drone in minimal with a magnaflow muffler. However if you want a more ballsy sound go with flowmaster 40's or 44's. Either way go dual mufflers with a fabbed H pipe. It sound cost your between 300-400 for the whole thing

First off, Congratulations on making a major upgrade.
I have worked my way through the Flowmaster line myself and I think you would be most pleased with the 44Series. With sensible driving skills, drone isn't an issue.
On a side note, Just weeks ago Borla released their Borla ATTACK Series mufflers. Sound incredible outside the car and absolutely no drone inside the car. They were designed for no drone. Sound great too.
Good luck, have fun & please post results no matter what you do. I'd love to hear it.

I didn't have drone until I went catless. No cats + exhaust leak = no fun on the highway
