still debating what route i am going to take swapping a 5.0 or going the 4.3 stroker route and going turbo. I would like to go the 4.3 turbo route but what upgrades does the t-5 5 speed to be able to hold 400+ hp. Or stronger 5 or 6 speed transmission for the 3.8 v6?

You can build your stock t5 with better stuff or swap it out for a tremec or tko...etc. the t5 itself is already pretty strong

I've heard the 6 speed isn't really worth it - something about a small input shaft

Supposedly the T5 is good for ~300 to 325 foot pounds. As for the build up maybe this would help?

First off thanks for the input always helps, is there a website that you know of that shows you the different kind of 5 speed transmission's that will work on a 3.8 motor?

Really the 6 speed isn't worth it small input shaft thats different i thought the 6 speed would of been better. Sorry for my ignorance transmissions are really not my thing but i plan on this summer swapping in a 5 speed because i have an auto as of right now, just want to know your suggestion of how to do this swap either getting a T-5 and then later on have installed a g-force gear set, or just saving and getting tko? And if saving up for the tko instead what model will fit on my car
