Quick question.. I have an '02, can I choose the 99-00 instead of the 01-04? I don't understand what S3M.com is trying to tell me with 'original equipment 1999-2001'

I'm going right ahead with ordering a CAI and Mach 1 Grille.. but I'm undecided on getting the wing or a new GT front bumper with fogs.

it's because the bolt holes are in different locations...so get the correct year

also why do you need a new bumper? is yours damaged?

Where the license plate goes, it's hazed and worn as if the clear came off, and when I bought the car the headlights were fogged so the idiots at the dealer buffed them but the buffer machine caught the bumper under the headlight and there's marks all the way around. It's not so nice to look at up close, and as for the everything else.. paint chip marks from the road.

I'm glad you answered so quickly. I really wanted to know, and what do you think? Worth the new bumper? I COULD live with it and get the wing first, but the wing would give me a new look.

I'd keep your current bumper. If the mark is simply on the paint and other parts of the paint are looking faded then just have it repainted. Even if the mark goes a little into the plastic, that can be fixed. It would probably end up being cheaper than picking up a new bumper and having to have that painted. And you can put fog lights in your bumper. You just have to cut out those stupid slots. I believe a simple pocket knife can do the trick.

no problem...and go ahead and cut out the plastic pieces before the repaint...that'll make sure you don't scratch anything during cutting...and mcqueen is right a pocket knife will work

That's the route i'm going to go, excited to get this underway. I figured I'd pick up a CAI so I had something nicer under my hood and deeper tone in my exhaust. I'll buy a Windstar later down the road. Sad to say I can't now.

Fogs, Saleen, Rear Black out, cut springs and CAI are my spring mods so far.

What are you all planning for the spring?

The previous owner of my car didn't give a shit about the front bumper either. It's got a big crack on the driver's side, rock chips all over the front, and some of the hardware is missing. I've got a termi bumper sitting in my garage but I'm thinking of fiberglassing the crack and deep chips, getting new hardware, and repainting it myself. If I fuck it up, termi bumper time

I wanted to get wheels but I'm waiting till the end of the Summer to build up some bank

Some people don't take care of their cars, I know the previous owner tried, but the dealer messed up the bumper and I can't explain the hazee

I'm just going to repaint like you did, probably the same day I get the spoiler painted at a shop.

You'll love the chin spoiler dude..

@6er: prochamber :

I need to hear a clip

EDIT: Did anyone ever think about painting their chin spoiler their factory color? I think it would look nice with 3000k fogs.

a few guys in the 99-04 modular section have their chins painted, and i've even tried it with my f'd up splitter before trashing it....you have to use a paint that can bend without cracking...it looks good on dark colors but i dunno about a light color car

I'd rather keep The chin unpainted... With my car being lowered and all the scraping from dips and bumps... (accidentally) it's not worth painting it for me. Lol
