Head gasket and stuff

I'm replacing my head gaskets as some already know.. Blah blah blah no problems really... Only problem is the studs for the exhaust manifolds. 3 head bolts are underneath the studs on each the passenger and driver sides. Do the studs just thread out? Also the pacesetters came with a bolt kit.. Do the bolts just replace the studs? I didn't look at the headers too much

Yes the studs are in a thread in the heads. There is a hex on the end that fits a 5 mm socket. I suppose you could use bolts in place of the studs.

My Mac longtubes came with bolts. I kept the stock studs. From what I have heard bolts are better then the studs.

Thanks guys I was going to dethread them but I wasn't feeling the best... I am deffinanly removing the studs. Reps to ya both
