Ok listen to this. If your old intake was black and had a buckle kinda on it and ended in a small circle in your fender it was a stock one. The previous owner probably bought a K&N filter and just put it into your stock intake. Buy a CAI from ebay, install it and tuck it into your fenderwell. GG you now have a cold air intake. The stock intakes are black and have the rubber/plastic tubes that are ribbed for your pleasure. The ribs are bad, the aluminum/metal tubes that are smooth are better.
