AM Pypes 409 Stainless Steel True Dual exhaust with Street Pro Mufflers

In June I will be going to JDM Engnieering in New Jersey to get my true dual exhaust 2.5" with X-Pip ( the whole kit from American Muscle) Prior to buying this I did a lot of research and heard it sound, really good. I chose this and it will be install.

Question: Although this will be professionally install, is this a very difficult install. This goes out to people who have true dual exhaust? especially pypes

I notice that in some picture and youtube videos that i saw that one of the exhaust pip tip (left) is off center to the side. Why is that? and some come out great with exhaust tip parrellel and straight, similiar to gt specs.

I am prepping this car for auto Xcrossing and making it look like a showroom car so I am very detail with the overall installation and look. Also, i plan on lowering my car with Eibach Pro Kit and pro damper struts (1.5 inch all around) with steeda bumpsteer with X2 ball joints, that poloy isolator and J&M Caster Chamber plates. to finish the look. With the exhaust and 1.5 inch drop and 18x9 S-Style Saleen rims install. will the exhaust system clear?

I was looking at the same exhaust system of AM. I personally opted against it after reading reviews. People that have the exhaust love the sound (so do i), however they seem to all have issues with installation. Check out the reviews on AM.

yeah I read the reviews on there but decided to take my chances, I need dual if I'm gonna race. I here Pypes was hereing all these negative issue and fixed there problems. AM reviews i figure the individuals were the ones installing them. my will be professionally installed by JDM Engineering. However if you read all the reviews, the majority were satisfly with the system, other then the few hopefull.

after getting the pypes install all i could say is that the performance shop that did the installation said it is the worst system they ever come across.

It needed to be cut several times, had to adjust many time for it to clear and the bolts and clamp provided were of cheap quality and bolts did not reach. they were able to install it properly and did a good job, I moniter the whole evolution. the rubber of the tailpipe grommet came loose after a week of driving it so I had to duct tap it from hereing that annoying rattle noise when the hanager touches the metal grommets until i purchase another set because the Pypes warranty does not cover that just defective piping.

The sound of the mufflers are good, but would not buy Pypes Perfromance Exhaust AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There warranty sucks too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could have saved a lot of money by buying the mufflers you wanted and having an exhaust shop custom fab a midpipe for you.

plus the pypes kit is notorious for never fitting correctly...so in the end the shop will have some fun lol

yeah, i agree, but lesson learn. But everything is good now. I just have to buy new grommets because of the rubber coming off. Other then that everything is align and cleared correctly, which is good at least for my eibach pro kit 1.5 in drop. But as for Pypes, never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! because of there product and services and no love for the V6'ers. The shop even told me they were gonna write an email to Pypes customer services for there shitty system
