Tuner/o2
Quick question.
With the programmer you can turn off the rear o2s. Does this "remove" just the post cat ones or both the pre and post cat sensors

It's been a long time since I used my tuner but I don't remember seeing anything for O2s. So unless I just missed it, I think you have to have a custom tune written to turn off O2s.

It only removes the post cat ones. You need the pre-cat ones for your ECU to determine the correct Air/Fuel ratio.
With a newer SCT firmware that has to be done by whoever creates the tune itself and is no longer a user changeable option.

It took the downstream off when I got the tune from AM, but dont you need the upstream ones.

The front 02's you need, they let your ECU know what your A/F ratio is like. The rears just say if you have cats or not.
EGR can be turned off with a tune also. |
