oil pump help needed asap

so when I pulled out my cam synchro the shaft for the oil pump stayed down so I pulled the pump but now I realized that the rod is slightly bent is that ok?and if not would an auto parts store carry something like that whats the actual name.and one last thing the old synchro that was on there was the three wire the new one is the two wire so can I use the new assembly with the old sensor

#1. Stick with one thread. You'll get better/quicker responses, and it'll be far easier for us all to follow.

#2. So the oil pump driveshaft didn't come out with the cam synchro? I got the impression that it came out with the synchro in your other thread.

#3. A bend in the oil pump driveshaft isn't okay. Your local auto parts store may carry it. I know my local stores carry them for the 5.0L, but I haven't checked for a 3.8L.

#4. It sounds like you may have the wrong synchro. Does the old sensor fit on the new assembly?
