I been looking at the Roush Stage 3 and as u know it come with side exhaust.... DO i need to use the roush side exhaust or can I have some custom made or something like that I don't know how the roush will sound can some1 reccomend me anything and give me more info for the side exhaust

I beleive roush is basically magnaflows but im not positive, im sure theres a kit so you can use any kind of muffler you want, I know spintech offers one but it sounds like sh**, id have to do some research but just google whatever your year is then side exhaust, ex. 1994 Mustang side exhaust

ok well i'm gonna google it but please keep the replies comming it would be nice if ppl would give me more advices..... I just wanna know about the sound and all i dont want to loose the loudness and muscle sound

I looked and they have ones roush with magnas other with idk what the hell cause only says roush....

roush.magnaflow both i dont like the sound of on a v6, flowmaster 40s/super40s/ or my personals preference super 44s are the way to go on a v6, MAC sounds good at first but gets real ricey IMO. Im gonna look for maybe an adapter kit or something now

you can go to a muffler shop and have them custom made. personally magnaflow or any muffler on a v6 for side exits wont sound to great, Mac would be the best sounding if not flows

Is there a reason side exit doesnt sound as good...I know it makes less power

i think it was because of the "u" shape or the bends for the side exit and not all side exhaust make u lose power

depending on thickness of the pipes of the exhaust, theres a good chance you'll lose some bottom end torque unless you have a lot of power, which a stock or bolt on v6 doesnt have

ahhhhh side exhaust r giving me a headache well in the future i will be changin to a 4.2 motor and i'm expecting like 350-380 or even more hp so the lose in power... i can deal with that and do u think side eexhaust r worth it...?

with that power you wont lose anything and it'll probably sound nice

but for an all motor set up your gonna need full bolt ons, a good cam and some Really well ported heads, upper and lower intake. along with an amazing tune and probably at least 89 octane to reach 350-380 hp all motor...
with with a blower or turbo...its nothing
