Pacesetter Exhaust Adapter

I know, another exhaust question.

I did a search but didn't find anything about the Pacesetter 3.8L Exhaust Adapter. Does anyone use this? Any problems/issues?

Also, when shopping for a cat-back exhaust system, how can you tell if it will fit under the V6 bumper without trimming? Can longer hangers allow any cat-back exhaust system fit under?

Pretty much any exhaust will fit under the bumper with out the cutout but depending on the length and the size of the tip you run a better chance of it scraping since the dual exhaust is meant to be in the cutouts.

But what exactly does the Pacesetter adapter do exactly?

Does it convert the stock Y pipe to an H or something?

Yes, it adapts the stock y-pipe to a h-pipe so you can run any V8 cat-back system.

thats what most people do... if you are unsure what to ask your local guys to do ... well then give me the number and ill slap a ho

IMO cat backs are too expensive, just have an exhaust shop do it. Tell them you want true dual exhaust with a crossover bar and the mufflers of your choice (flowmaster super 40's IMO)
