ram air hoods and hood scoops, do they make much differance

for my graduation my parents said they'll buy me the hood of my choice and i REALLY like the eleanor hood, but im kinda leaning towards the cali dream ram air hood because i have this mindset that'll make me go faster..hahah. Do they really make any differance in any kind of way?

ram air wont do nothing for you because the scoop would have to be just about at the roof line to have any ram air or forced air effects. it will have the same effect of a CAI if you even have your intake routed to the hood scoop.

you got a carburetted engine? If not then a hood scoop does nothing for you go with looks.

if you have a carburetted engine and ram air scoop yes since it would be ramming air straight down into the intake, but on a fuel injected engien like ours you'll get almost nothing.

Ram air really only helps at speeds above 120 or so mph. Sure the TA and SS scoops are functional, but driving normally at sane speeds, they really don't add any power at all.
